ello, my name is Andras Vermes-Gabos, and here is a little bit about myself:
I was born in Hungary, did my primary and secondary schooling in small country towns.
In 1973 I went to Budapest and studied Civil Engineering, obtained my Degree in 1978 and started to work in the construction industry.
In 1983 I moved to Australia and have been living in Sydney since 1986.
Most of my work is related to bridge inspections, repairs or design.
I am interested in the challenges my work presents and finding simple solutions to complex problems.
I am a keen amateur sportsman, I did judo, kayaking, swimming, Aikido and windsurfing. These days I focus on jogging and kayaking, with as much swimming as I can jam into my schedule. I love swimming in the surf whenever I can get out to an ocean beach.
My cultural needs include reading, -mostly fiction, folk music and dance, and occasional classical music adventures.
I keep a standard study schedule in Scientology, I am planning to become a personal counselor.
I am single, my family lives in Hungary and we see each other quite regularly.
My father is a health enthusiast, at 73 he is still running physical education classes of his own design and plans to live for 120 years.
My mother is a retired high-school teacher who enjoys writing short stories and browsing the net.
As for me, once I had plans to live for 300 years - just to do better than my dad-, and soon got into Scientology where I learned about the human spirit.
Since than, I haven't been worrying about the span of my life.
It is not only me as a spirit, but also the existence of God which became real and fact for me through Scientology.
While Scientology acknowledges the existence and role of the Creator and encourages its practitioners to keep and maintain their original faith if they had one, it does not intrude in the realm of God.
Even though I have not received any religious education in Hungary, now I accept God's existence and in my own way I am a Christian.
Well, I hope you found my site informative and I'd be happy to "talk" to you about anything you might be
interested in.
