ello, our names are Mr. & Mrs. Jessica Rockwell & Gerry Chromoy, and here is a little bit about ourselves:
My name is Gerry Chromoy. I live in Pasadena, California with my wife, Jessica Rockwell, with whom I share and create a wonderful marriage. We also run a great business together in which she is a terrific portrait artist & I am the manager.
When I first heard of Scientology, I had my reservations. After listening to an interview given by L. Ron Hubbard, I decided to test the waters by doing a short communications course. I had a great time on the course and made a lot of new friends, but more importantly I came to realize there was an actual formula (if understood and applied correctly) that if I used I could achieve real communication with those around me. This was on the order of cracking a code in which I could actually give and receive communication through a maze of no or little real communication going on.
I've been in Scientology for 30 years now. During that time I've worked in and out of Scientology, done numerous courses and have received counseling. I have been tremendously helped and in turn have helped others with the brilliant insights, understanding and technology of L.Ron Hubbard.
I see endless great future for myself and the whole human race because of Scientology.
My greatest realization in Scientology is realizing that I am an immortal being with endless future to look forward to.
If you would care to ask me any questions, I would be glad to answer them. If you have any questions about the technology of L.Ron Hubbard I would be glad to refer you to a book for the answers.
Jessica wants to tell you her story:
I grew up in Savannah, Georgia, in a big old ante-bellum (ante-bellum means "before the war," the war being the Civil War or "War Between the States" as the Southerners proclaim) house with eight fireplaces overlooking a very scenic salt-water river and marsh grass. My family is Southern aristocracy. I went to a private school, made my "debut" into society, and went to University in New Orleans, Louisiana. In my junior year, I went to the University of Georgia where I earned the Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree.
Then I went to New York City for a year to have a taste of the working world. I found a job as a fabric designer. Then on to Graduate School - this time in Basel, Switzerland, where I learned to speak German. After 2 1/2 years abroad, I wasn't totally ready to return home yet, so I went to Montreal, Canada for another 2 1/2 years where I worked as a graphic designer and learned to speak French.
It was in Montreal that I first heard of Scientology from a friend. After all that wandering around the globe wondering what I was going to do with my life, I hit upon a Road to Truth that helped me figure out my path.
I have been a Scientologist now for 21 years. Before that, I was always searching for the answers to life. I was gathering information but did not know how to categorize it and often couldn't even decide if there were rights and wrongs. Thus, my life was somewhat splattered in many directions. I had the hope of youth that it would come out well in the end, but I was not at all certain.
I read the modern authors of philosophy and would underline concepts here or there that hit me as if true. However, these were not cohesive and just scattered ideas that I could not put together or use to help my life or give me direction.
Today, I walk on the Road to Truth. I am a successful artist and very happily married.
From our favorite quote from L. Ron Hubbard, "A culture is as great as its dreams and its dreams are made by artists." I like this quote probably because it hits me where I live as an artist. It makes sense to me that when you have an upward trending culture, you have arts in abundance. The artistic mind, the aesthetic wavelength, this is a very pure exciting birth of new things to come. Even though L. Ron Hubbard spends so much time telling us about man and what makes him tick, then bang, he surprises you with the position of art. Then it is no surprise. It just is, of course. And I have another truth that helps me to put life into a perspective.
