ello, my name is Robert C. DeSimone, and here is a little bit about myself:

     I was born and raised in New York City in an Irish/Italian family. I went to college to become a professional merchant marine officer (that’s someone who is certified by the Coast Guard to navigate and handle cargo matters on ocean-going ships).

     When I finished college I went to sea and visited many foreign countries. This was great adventure and fun but was over-shadowed by my own questions and concern for how life seemed to be going in the world around me. So as I traveled around practicing my profession I was also looking for answers to these philosophic questions. I just could not dismiss them from my mind.

     Most of my friends and my family didn’t seem to understand my quest and I am not sure I did either. But when my path somehow led me to Dianetics and I read Dianetics: The Modern Science of Mental Healthand applied that data, it all made total sense.

     I still go to sea but more and more I am spending my time learning and using Dianetics.
